Infrastruktur Europa I S.à r.l. follows a pan-European renewable energy investment strategy.
Infrastruktur Europa I S.à r.l. (the “Company”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hauck & Aufhäuser Fund Services S.A., acting in its capacity as the management company of a reserved alternative investment fund in the legal form of a fonds commun de placement (“FCP-RAIF”) with a pan-European renewable energy investment strategy. The Company pursues an inherently sustainable investment objective, supporting the transition towards a low-carbon economy. The investment strategy, therefore, qualifies as an Article 8 of the European Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (“SFDR”).
Investment strategy
The Company’s investment strategy focuses on investments in infrastructure facilities that serve the functioning of the community, in particular in the generation of sustainable electricity and heat from renewable energy sources, including wind and solar power, hydropower as well as on green hydrogen projects and investments in related infrastructure (including battery storage projects).
The Company follows a buy-and-hold approach, primarily focusing on brownfield projects and greenfield projects and aiming to generate consistent long-term value. The Company selectively targets investments in markets characterized by a higher degree of Green House Gas avoiding generation facilities and supports the Paris Climate Agreement’s targets of limiting global warming.
Portfolio
The Company aims to build a diversified portfolio targeting stable cash flows, long-term value generation as well as a resilient risk profile. Consequently, the Company plans to invest in sustainable electricity generation projects employing different technologies, such as photovoltaic (with or without co-located battery storage) and onshore wind. Such investments shall be located across Europe with a focus on Germany. To ensure sufficient diversification, the portfolio shall include projects in different life-cycle stages. In addition, the Company plans to pursue different marketing strategies for the electricity output. Such investment strategy together with the active asset management approach forms the basis for long-term value creation.
Structure
Infrastruktur Europa I S.à r.l. is a limited liability company (société à responsabilité limitée) established under the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and headquartered in Luxembourg. Sole shareholder of the Company is Hauck & Aufhäuser Fund Services S.A., acting in its capacity as the management company of FCP-RAIF. As the investment strategy involves direct as well as indirect investments, the Company may establish or acquire a number of subsidiaries and provide financing as well as other support to such subsidiaries.
